Case Manager Fairfax Behavioral Health
Working within a psychiatric hospital setting, Cody was responsible for connecting patients to critical community resources as they transitioned out of hospitalization. Managing cases for individuals who were often hospitalized against their will on 72-hour holds, he specialized in identifying and coordinating placements into Partial Hospitalization Programs (PHP), Intensive Outpatient Programs (IOP), and traditional outpatient settings. This pivotal role ignited his deep love for connecting vulnerable individuals to the resources necessary to achieve long-term success.

Managing a demanding caseload of 80 individuals gave Cody a firsthand look at the systemic pressures of the healthcare industry. It became glaringly obvious how easy it is for individuals to get caught in a rigid, bureaucratic "cog machine." Recognizing that clients and clinicians alike were too often treated as numbers rather than real human beings, Cody resolved to advocate for a more empathetic, personalized approach to care.
Team Lead
La Europa Academy
While working closely with youth at this residential treatment center, Cody witnessed firsthand how children who are not correctly understood or reached in time at the outpatient level inevitably decline and require much higher levels of treatment. This profound experience instilled in him a fierce advocate's heart, knowing that parents simply cannot afford to wait in bureaucratic lines as just another number while their kids need support the most. It solidified his belief in the critical importance of early intervention, ensuring that our kids do not have to suffer in silence.
